iServalan is the multi-disciplinary creative alter-ego and stage name of Sarnia de la Maré FRSA, a British composer, experimental musician, artist, and futurist. Based primarily out of the digital art and music publishing network Tale Teller Club, she is the chief conceptual visionary behind the Homotech movement (specifically under the moniker Homotech 23). [1, 2, 3, 4]
Her work heavily focuses on the intersection of human flesh and digital machinery—exploring how technology expands, rather than replaces, the physical parameters of a musician's body. Her key artistic outputs span several mediums: [2, 5]
- The Homotech Movement: A method of creation fusing traditional acoustic strings (such as cello and piano) and synthesizers with glitch processing, generative loops, and artificial intelligence. [2, 4, 6]
- Audio & Podcasts: She produces surreal artworks, electronic soundtracks, and dramatic readings for The Book of Immersion. You can listen to her experimental audiobooks and narratives directly on the iServalan Podcast on Spotify. [4, 7]
- Visual Arts & Design: Operating a maximalist, punk-edged digital poster studio, her visual output features bright, high-contrast, and glitch-processed iPad illustrations available on her Gumroad Hub. [3]
In addition to her current electronic and AI work, she has previously worked under other artistic frequencies, notably as the performance artist Pasha du Valentine. She is also the foundational force behind educational and lifestyle networks including the Continuum Pedagogy and Elderescence TV. [1, 2]
