Getting rid of Facebook Instructions that are quicker than FB Search, FB does not make it easy to leave
To delete your Facebook account, you can follow these steps:
Backup Your Data (Optional): Before you permanently delete your account, you might want to download a copy of your information from Facebook. This includes your posts, photos, videos, and other data. To do this, go to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Download Your Information.
Deactivate Your Account (Optional): If you're not sure about permanently deleting your account, you can deactivate it first. Deactivating your account makes your profile invisible, but you can reactivate it later by logging in. To deactivate, go to Settings > Your Facebook Information > Deactivation and Deletion.
Permanently Delete Your Account:Log in to your Facebook account.
Go to the following link: Delete My Account.
Click on "Delete My Account."
Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm your decision. You may be asked to enter your password and complete some security checks.
Confirm Deletion:After you confirm the deletion, your account will be deactivated for a few days. If you log in during this time, the deletion process will be canceled.
After the grace period, your account and all your information will be permanently deleted. This process is irreversible, and you won't be able to recover your account or any data associated with it.
It's essential to note that the deletion process might take up to 90 days, during which time your data is not accessible on Facebook. Also, some information may remain in Facebook's backup systems, but it will be disassociated from any personal identifiers.
Remember that once you delete your account, it cannot be undone, so be sure that you want to permanently remove your Facebook presence before proceeding.
